Goal: Mother daughter time, wine, and paint

I had to work part of the day today. Lots of deadlines due. I finally got off work around 3pm and headed to my daughter’s place to change clothes. Today I am spending my day of hope with my amazing daughter. We went to Chili’s for dinner. We had a few margaritas, chips, and guacamole. We ordered dinner, and just enjoyed catching up, and spending time together. We then headed to Paint ‘N Sip. 

Paint ‘N Sip is a place where you paint a picture on a blank canvas while you sip wine. They show you step-by-step, stroke-by-stroke, how to paint a picture. We painted three tall vases with shadows. Fancy stuff. It was around $35.00 and took about two hours. We had a lot of fun, and we did really well. Our paintings turned out great and surprised us both. Two regular Picasso’s. Ok, well maybe not that good. There were a few others in the group we did not know, but they were lots of fun.

My lesson of hope: Kids grow up so fast. Always make time to spend some quality time with them, even if only for an evening.
