Day of Hope #66
Wednesday June 13 – Day of Hope #66
Goal: Lounge by the pool, gather hope
Quote: “Those that bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves”. – Jim Barrie
Today I got up around 9am and worked out and made a healthy breakfast. I decided to have a day at the pool today. One year ago, I got the keys to my condo. It has a gym and a pool. I have yet to go to either one. It’s a Wednesday and I have the whole day so why not. I spent several hours at pool side journaling and finishing my Audible book from last month called Kick Ass by Mel Robbins and completing the workbook that came with it. It was a beautiful day. I brought lots of snacks and drinks and just soaked up the sunshine. When it would get too hot, I got in the pool to cool down then back to the table or lounge chair to get back at it.
Then after about 6 hours I headed home to gather all my old journals so I could start pulling together all my days of hope and get them ready for my website that I plan to create someday. I then made a healthy salmon dinner then headed to the Boise Greenbelt to take a nice walk by the river just being with myself and enjoying the stress-free day. While I was walking, I started a new Audible book called The Miracle Morning, by Hal Elrod. It’s about having a healthy morning routine. Great ideas. I also stopped at Starbucks to get my half green half passion trenta size tea and got a surprise it was double star day!
I went home and put on my fancy nightgown from my Day of Hope #2 when I re-enacted a movie scene from Eat Pray love. I made some hot air popcorn and watched the Eat Pray Love movie by Liz Gilbert and a beautiful sunset to end my amazing day of hope.
My lesson of hope: I just have to stress how much taking one day a month just for me has really changed my life. It’s so great to just take a do-nothing day. Even if you can only find a few hours - please find time for you!
