Goal: Get the keys to my new place to live

Quote: “New places always help us look at life differently.”  – Joan Bauer

Started off my morning with a relaxing breakfast at Rembrandt’s in Eagle. I discovered this restaurant on my day of hope #52 and I just can’t get enough. The atmosphere and food are amazing. I ordered biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, market spice tea, and a lemon poppyseed muffin for dessert.

Then it was time to do something exciting. I took a deep breath and headed off to get the keys to my new place today. The people that I was lucky enough to be house sitting for eighteen months are returning in about three weeks, so I found a place to move into. It is very similar to a picture on my vision board from the previous year when I thought I was moving to Chicago.  The couch I bought specifically for the Chicago condo fits perfectly. You can read about that in #25. Finally, after two years I got my own place. I received all kinds of signs this was the right place including my random covered parking spot which was number 113. Thank you, universe.

I picked up the keys and just enjoyed planning on how to decorate. On that afternoon I had a new bed, and kitchen table delivered. I stayed there that night. Over the next few weeks, I packed and got everything ready to move in, then I decorated it and made it my new home. That place was so great for me at the time. My job was very busy, and I was working a lot and it was nice to come home at night and always have the porch light on for you (the complex is fully lit) and the yard is always done and looks so clean. I don’t have to mow the lawn, weed any flowers, or shovel the driveway. Someone else gets to do that. I also like being able call someone when something breaks, and they fix it right away. It’s amazing and stress free.

Someday, I will own a house again, but it will be quite a while for sure as I am not a fan of yard work. The only downside is that the place is three flights of stairs on the third floor. Oh well, it’s good exercise and it makes me feel safer to be on the upper level.

My lesson of hope: Be patient, sometimes the things you think are not showing up for you are just waiting for the right time to show up. Right now, might not be the best time.
