Goal: Create a vision for the future and do so looking and feeling fabulous
Quote: “Breathe, Let go, and remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.” - Oprah
Today is a very exciting day for me. I had to work this morning, but I then went to get my hair cut and colored, which always makes me feel fabulous, and a wonderful hot stone massage. I go to The Four Gables Hair & Nail salon in Boise, and I have the best hairdresser. The shop is amazing, and they do all hair items, massages, manicures, and pedicures etc. I have been a client there for over 25years and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. The staff is so friendly and fun. Great atmosphere. Just a few benefits of getting your hair done are revitalize Image, improved self-esteem, more confidence, give a sense of control, help prevent split ends, minimize dry scalp.

I was completely relaxed and ready for my next task. I went home and started my wonderful vision board process. I just love dreaming of the coming year and seeing all the things I completed in the year that just ended. I do so many great things and it’s fun to remind myself where the year went and why it went by so fast.
A couple of items that were on my vision board to work on were my health, finances, starting my book, and travel. Most of these items I completed on my day of hope. Health wise I completed several half marathons and kept up on my running and walking. Finances, I kept to my goals that my personal finance coach gave me years ago. On the book, I started to compile my stories of my days of hope and work on the outline and get it done. Travel, I stayed mostly in my state (budget friendly) and saw waterfalls, lakes, stars, and a super moon. I was supposed to go to Hawaii but did an at home Hawaiian theme instead. I completed so many other things as well, but these are the ones on my special day.
Some of my goals to accomplish for the coming year are, find a new place to live, possibly a condo, work on book, keep finances on track, and just take things slow and make my inner child smile. On my health goal I decided to just focus on one area, I chose arms. I knew just picking one area would help me focus more and give my mind less stress about exercise. I only must accomplish one thing, great arms. It also helped me with other areas as well. It strengthened my core, my legs, and buttocks. Working on one thing worked everything. I did lots of planks and pushups. This increased my running ability as well.
Also, to keep me on track, I found this great stair analogy. I printed it and put it on the board. It’s a staircase with a person sitting on each step showing the process our minds can go through.
Stairs thought process:
First step – I won’t do it!
Second step – I can’t do it!
Third step – I want to do it!
Fourth step – How do I do it!
Fifth step – I’ll try to do it!
Sixth step – I can do it!
Seventh step – I will do it!
Eighth step – Yes, I did it!
My lesson of hope: Just taking one small step and not quitting will get me to where I want to be. Focus, visualization, and hope will get me through. Looking forward to seeing what the new year brings.
