Day of Hope #79
Saturday July 13 – Day of Hope #79
Goal: Spend the day at the park
Quote: “Time spent amongst trees is never wasted time”. - unknown
I slept in until 9:30 AM with no alarm. I got my workout clothes on and headed to the park. I went for an hour long walk by the river on the Boise Greenbelt and it felt so good. It seems like it has been forever since I was at this park. I need to remember to get there more often. It just fuels my soul. This park and I have been through a lot, and it is my favorite place to go and just think about life.
I was sitting in front of the fountain at the Ann Morrison Park journaling. It is such a wonderful place. The fountain gives a great sound of waterfall and its beautiful scenery. There were kids playing in the water, picnics going on, people resting on the lawn, barbecues, and several cyclists and people walking and enjoying the sunshine. It was a great morning. I was on a red bench, in the shade, journaling and being in the moment.
I was also on day two of a three-day juice cleanse from Boise Juice Company. I was not hungry and felt great. You drink juice every two hours and somehow it keeps you full. I am down 6 lbs. I journaled all afternoon that day until my hand would not write anymore. I headed home at dark to take a nice long Epsom salt bath in the great big tub. Then I watched movies. What a great relaxing day.
My lesson of hope: Being outside and enjoying the sunshine fuels my soul. Being at the park and watching everyone else have a wonderful time makes me smile.
