Tuesday August 13 – Day of Hope #80

Goal: Get great seats for Basketball

Today I needed to work for half a day. I hired an assistant to help with some of the departments. I am learning to delegate, so I needed to go in for a bit to get her set up before I could take the afternoon off.

First stop after work was at the Boise State Stadium, Taco Bell Arena, for the basketball select-a-seat day. Of course they would pick my day to host it. Oh well. I had to be there by noon.  I had season tickets, and they allow ticket holders to visit the stadium first to see if they prefer a different seat before opening it up to the public. I have had tickets for many years with my friends, but now I need to add a seat as my boyfriend would be joining us going forward. I got a plus one seat, so I had to go today so we can sit together when the season starts. You line up outside and when they open the doors and you run to the seats that have papers on them, which means they are open to purchase. I got seats three rows up from my friends, so that worked out great.

I then went to get my nails done and a pedicure. Then after that pampering, I decided to go to one of my favorite restaurants, Café Ole, and have a margarita, and chips and salsa. I sat and ate and journaled for hours. Then, I went home and relaxed and watched Hallmark movies.

My lesson of hope: Getting someone to be a backup and cover for me at work paid off in the end, and my Days of Hope are a necessity to reset and recharge.
