Goal: Sports and Boise State

Sports events bring me joy and I love the energy of the crowds and rooting for your favorite teams. I happened to live in Boise, Idaho at the time and enjoyed going to the Boise State University football games. Normally, I would spend time hanging out and tailgating in the parking lot, which is lots of fun as everyone has a TV in the back of their trucks. In the parking lot it’s cool because there is a slight delay for a few seconds from the actual game, and the TV game. When a play is happening you can hear the boos or cheer and roaring of the crowd before you see what is happening on the TV. There is endless food, snacks, and drinks all day long. I mean all day. The games could have a start time of eight pm, but there is tailgating going on early in the morning until the end of game. Hanging out with friends and just enjoying the atmosphere brings me joy. It’s such a beautiful location.
On this particular day of hope, I was invited to go into the BSU stadium and watch the game from the stands. The seats were close to the field and because it brings me joy, I said yes on the 13th. I can’t beat Boise State football on the blue turf field. I had a friend that had season tickets, and she had an extra ticket, so I went with her to the game.
The football games are so much fun, and the crowd is loud and just being in the stadium is amazing. Everyone gets into the games and it’s electric. You can literally feel the bleachers and the ground vibration under your feet.
The weather during the game started out sunny, but it started raining towards the end. It did not matter; everyone stayed and watched the game in the rain. The rain did not stop the crowd or the team from having a wonderful day. I am sure we won, but honestly, I don’t remember, I just remember having a great time.

My lesson of hope: If it brings you joy do it. The energy from the games makes my heart smile.
