Goal: Survive a Weekend in Vegas

I took a “Viva Las Vegas” trip on Friday the 13th. Yahoo! These Fridays are my favorite Days of Hope, as it incorporates the weekends. For as long as I can remember, my sister has had a jar on her counter labeled, “Bruno Mars Funds,” hoping to save enough money to go see him at a concert one day. Well, that day happened this month and on a Friday the 13th weekend. There were five of us. My sister, her daughter, my daughter, my daughter’s best friend, and me.

We booked a flight to Vegas to see him perform at the Park Theater in MGM Grand. It was an amazing show. We got invited to an after-show party and went down to the strip and had a lot of fun. Some of us had more fun than others but hey, it’s Vegas and, “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”, and that’s all you’re getting from me. The next day we walked around sightseeing and got some food. It was a great trip, and we got to see an iconic performer.

My lesson of hope: When great opportunities come across your path take them and go have fun.
